I’m a woman who realized I am disgusted with men who don’t take good care of their appearance. With women, it bothers me less because they’re naturally more beautiful. I take very good care of my hygiene and hair, always smell good, and spend a lot of money on skincare.
I love to spend my time shopping for clothes and makeup. I believe everyone should be this way, but I also think it shouldn’t be apparent how much effort you’re putting in.
It should come across as effortless, which is why I dislike people who wear too much makeup or elaborate hairstyles on normal days.
Name brands are also cringed to me. I’m sure this is tied to my narcissism, but I see it as a very positive thing.
Looks are extremely important to me. I literally don’t leave the house when I’m feeling ugly. I guess I also have a mild case of body dysmorphia. Every time I walk past a mirror, I have to check myself. At first, I thought there was something wrong with my body. Then I realized that I know I’m not bad-looking, I just want to look better than everyone.
If I don’t like the way I look, then my entire day is ruined. I feel terrible about myself. It’s not about wearing something special. I can be dirty from work and not care as long as I am okay with what I’m wearing. If it doesn’t fit a certain way, it will ruin my day.
Hygiene is an absolute must for both men and women. Is this a bad thing? No, but it can be annoying if I buy something and then don’t like the way it fits. Waste of money. The brand is irrelevant. Mostly, it’s about my hair. It’s by far the most attractive part of me, so I tend to it well.
I hate bad physical appearance, so dressing nicely is super important to me, especially since I’ve started college. Back at home with my family, I was so chronically stressed from my chaotic home environment that I neglected my appearance.
Now, I take pride in looking good. I choose sharp outfits or something that looks good in something, it gives me self-confidence.
I am totally obsessed with my physical appearance. Mainly, I care about my stature and frame/size. I’ve always done martial arts, and that gave me some respect and validation, but it wasn’t as impactful as when I hit the gym and became intimidating and good-looking.
The respect and attraction I get from both women and men are too high for me to ignore. It’s part of my confidence, to be honest.
I don’t say that I don’t think about my physical appearance, but my friends used to tell me that I’m pretty quite a bit. I think it’s a matter of not being my own type; I don’t personally like my features even though others seem to. If I could afford it, I would probably pull a Kardashian and buy myself a whole new face.
My appearance is important to me to make me confident. I’m huge on personal hygiene and never skip showers. I shave every single day so my skin is as soft as possible. I wash my hair daily so it has lots of volume and use a small amount of oil on the ends to prevent dryness.
I also put extensions in every single day to make my hair look longer and fuller. I use a collagen serum on my face twice a day and a gua sha every night. I don’t wear makeup every day though—I have really nice skin, especially for my age, and I like showing that off sometimes.
I have two co-workers who occasionally come to work with their hair pulled back in greasy buns. They always wear wrinkled clothes because they wake up late. I could never do that. Any time I’ve ever overslept, I’m texting everyone to let them know I will be arriving fashionably late because I am getting ready.
I don’t work out that much because I’m a little bit active in my regular life. I live downtown, so it’s easier to walk a lot of the time when going places than it is to deal with traffic and parking. Not only that, but I’m naturally on the thin side and above average height. I just don’t put weight on much, luckily.
I love being picky about wearing things that are in trend, so I try to update my wardrobe whenever I have time. For example, as soon as I heard skinny jeans or some latest collection were out, I got rid of all of them and bought them before they sold out. Something about being seen as out of style horrifies me.
I really care about my appearance. I work out six times a week, eat healthy, and have expensive skincare and makeup routines. I have fillers and an expensive hairstylist.
I think women should definitely care about their looks, and I’m glad I stand out and receive compliments all the time. Sometimes, when I am really down, I feel like my attractiveness is all I have.
Honestly, I also love being friends with other people like me. I think other people are almost a waste of time to be friends with. I found that there is often a link between how much effort a person puts into their appearance and how valuable they are to have around.
I wholeheartedly agree with this. “I’m so natural” and “I don’t care how I look” girls get on my nerves. They can do their thing, but taking care of myself and upgrading my looks to the highest potential is important to me. I want to be friends with women who think the same.
I am a bit of a hypocrite, though, because when it comes to men, I tend to go for mid-attractive guys and am turned off by pretty boys who do too much to their appearance.
I shower at least once a day, never go a day without strong deodorant on multiple parts of my body, and use strong-smelling body wash (kind of smells like cinnamon). I also use another body wash for the more sensitive parts of my skin to make sure they get extra clean. I regularly dye my hair and use a tea tree leave-in conditioner that also works as a styling agent after both shampooing and conditioning every day.
I know you’re not supposed to, but I naturally have greasy hair, and it’s not because of the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is pretty healthy. I keep on top of my body/facial hair and don’t like leaving the house until I’m accessorized with my watch, bracelets, chain necklace, and occasional sunglasses.
I recently started working out every day even though I’m in a normal weight range, and I tend to watch what I eat. However, my style is actually pretty rugged, so I probably look like someone who doesn’t take care of themselves.
I’m obsessed with my appearance and do everything within my power to maintain it. Gym, skincare, diet—you name it. I’m a very vain person, honestly. Sometimes, I spend hours looking at pictures of myself. Most people treat me very well, and my latest girlfriend was pretty attracted to me, which made initiating things a whole lot easier.
